Xavi Lloveras stays with AVF in Eurocup

Xavier Lloveras will remain in the AVF family for the 2018 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 championship, joining the already announced Axel Matus. The 17-year-old from Girona, who joined the team in the final part of 2017, will be back with Adrián Vallés and his team for a full season in the European series promoted by Renault Sport. In addition to lining up for a brand-new adventure in the European Le Mans Series, the Eurocup will remain a key focus for AVF and the team relies on Lloveras as a top driver in their quest for the 2018 title.

    Xavi Lloveras

“I’m delighted to join AVF for the 2018 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season. Last year I raced with them in the last few rounds as a way to increase my confidence with the car and the overall chemistry. The series features high-level competition with fast drivers and strong teams as well. I look forward to preseason testing to improve my experience and feeling with the car, as we didn’t have much budget to do private test days during the winter. This the reason why I trust AVF and their experience. I want to thank Adrián for the support, as well Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, RACC, FCA and RFEDA”.

    Adrian Valles

“I’m extremely happy to welcome Xavi back to our team. Last year he had a very positive first approach, and now we are focused on putting together a good collective test program. It is important for a young driver like him to compare with more experienced contenders to find the right pace, and we will support him in order to find a good direction straight away. The Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 will be highly competitive and I’m sure that our driver will be fighting at the front end of the charts”.
